H & I Committee

Statement of Purpose

The sole purpsoe of the Inland Empire Hospital and Institution Committee is to 'carry the message' of Alcoholics Anonymous to those who are confined and cannot attend outside A.A. meetings. The Committee is organized under the 5th and 9th Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous and operated under all 12 Traditions of A.A. in all of its affairs.

Meetings are held at the invitation of the institution administrators, ever mindful of 'cooperation not affiliation.' The committee is not a thing apart, but rather an addition to the existing services of Alcoholics Anonymous.

'Your job now is to be at the place where you may be of maximum helpfulness to others, so never hesitate to go anywhere if you can be helpful. You should not hesitate to visit the most sordid spot on Earth on such an errand. Keep on the firing line of life with theses motives and GOD  will keep you unharmed'
